NAG bore gauges are available in with split collet or interchangeable anvils.
Split Collet Type
Bore
gauges up to 18 mm diameter incorporate interchangeable, hard
chrome, spring loaded self centering split measuring heads. A precision lapped
conical expander pin inside transfers the measuring movement of the split head
directly to the indicator.
The movable hardened measuring anvil ( front plunger ) located
diametrically opposite the interchangeable fixed anvil, transfers it's movement
to the indicator through a lever stroke push rod system. A centering bridge
ensures positioning of the two measuring points at the extremities of the
true diameter. Properly selected anvils and spacer gives the desired dimensions
to be measured.
